The making of OMBUDSMAN....
Last month, I shifted my home and so I need to change my address in ICICI bank. I sent the request through Infinity and got the reply saying that "contact their regional call center".
I did it. But the smart CALL PEOPLE (can't say CALL GIRL) told me that they cann't do this service.
What the hell man? Just for simple change of address, here and there i have been thrown out.
Suddenly it strucks my memory - hey ..there is one person called..Ombudsman..very recently i have seen in The hindu paper advertisement about the man who will solve these kind of problems.
U want to know the term "ombudsman" - Just checked with Answers . It told" A man who investigates complaints and mediates fair settlements, especially between aggrieved parties such as consumers or students and an institution or organization."
In particular, for indians, refer the hindu page for further details about ombudsman. This page gives better description.
Ok.. now my story .. From the hindu ad, i found this ICICI bank ombudsman email id: satinder.kaur@icicibank.com and wrote about mycomplaint. Surprisingly i got a call from ICICI mumbai office , saying that my grivances have been addressed and i will get a address change letter to my new address. Oh..God... what a service? Infact the calling person told that he would be happy if i send a letter to the above Ombudsman email ID stating my requiremnt got fulfilled.
That's all. I got it. And he further told that very beginning we can write to customer.care@icicibank.com and then headservicequality@icicibank.com . If nothing is satisfactory, then he request to forward it to Ombudsman. Oh..I am wondering..How a powerful person is the ombudsman..
And ofcourse with my further research , I found the entire indian banks ombudsman's contact ID. The following is the list and contact id.
